The story behind RC EMR

Built by someone who knows what a long day inside an EMR feels like.

RC EMR was created by a working mental-health professional, not by a team trying to imagine clinical work from the outside.

Built from real clinical work. RC EMR is shaped by the everyday needs of clinicians, staff and behavioral-health organizations.

A focused view of the day with quick paths to common clinical tasks.

It began with one problem

“There has to be a better way to do this.”

RC EMR did not begin as a plan to build an entire software company. It began during a normal workday, when one repeated company process was taking more time and attention than it should.

A mental-health professional who had to use an EMR every day started improving that process. The goal was simple: reduce the repetition, make the next step obvious and give staff time back.

Once that workflow became easier, a larger possibility came into view. If one frustrating process could be rebuilt around the people doing the work, why not the rest of the EMR?

01
Notice the friction

Slow screens, confusing menus and repeated work were pulling attention away from care.

02
Fix one real workflow

A practical internal process became faster, clearer and easier for staff to manage.

03
See the larger opportunity

The same clinical point of view could reshape scheduling, documentation, billing and reporting.

04
Keep building while doing the work

RC EMR continues to be shaped by someone who still understands the everyday experience firsthand.

The standard behind the product

Software should respect the people who have to use it.

RC EMR is guided by a few straightforward beliefs about clinical work.

Waiting is not a workflow

Routine pages should open quickly so the software does not become another task competing for attention.

Clinical language matters

Counselors and care teams should not need a software background to understand what a screen is asking them to do.

The day is connected

Scheduling, attendance, documentation, follow-up and billing are parts of the same service, not separate stories.

Every organization works differently

Forms, payer categories and workflows should be able to reflect real policies instead of forcing a team into one rigid process.

From the founder
I wanted an EMR that could keep up with the work, one that felt clear to a clinician, useful to an organization and fast enough to disappear into the day.
